About

The Village Hall of Llanmadoc, Cheriton and Landimore is at the centre of the community in these beautiful North Gower villages. It is situated between Llanmadoc and Cheriton opposite the popular Britannia Inn.

One hundred years ago the land on which the Village Hall sits was donated to the community by Sir Lancelot Aubrey Fletcher, and the first Hall was built. His vision was that the Hall would be used “as a library and reading room and as a centre of physical and mental recreation and education and for the furtherance of the health and well-being of the inhabitants of the villages of Llanmadoc and Cheriton”. Since then the Village Hall has been rebuilt and extended a number of times and has offered many opportunities for villagers to come together; it has been the venue for personal and community celebrations and the foundation of many happy memories.

The Village Hall stage

Today the Village Hall of Llanmadoc, Cheriton and Landimore provides a venue for the myriad clubs and societies based in the villages and is available for hire for special events. There is a large hall with stage suitable for drama performances. Users have access to a fully licensed bar and a well equipped kitchen suitable for large scale catering. There is also a committee room available for smaller meetings. Wifi is available to all users.
